I ♥ type and these people do too

I am sucker for typography I love it, the arrangement of type on a page, sign, wall or anything. Type is what ones language looks like and it’s a great thing when people experiment with type which raises the question …is typography a mean of communicative reproduction or a mean of artistic expression? Many designers and artist have used type in such creative ways but no matter what is done with a letter form typography is an art that is always connected to the process of reading to interpret and communicate a message.
The people over at type workshop love type and use their free to time experimenting with type by constructing letter forms from real world materials, the result is some very cool conceptual work. check them out and get some inspiration on some clever uses of objects to create type. Not on the site but I saw this painting of just part of poems and I thought it was just great the colors, composition, strong use of letter forms very visual lovely piece.
